I may look like grapes but
have distinct veins running through my skin
looking like bolts of electricity
light green, yellow or reddish purple in color
tart and fibrous to eat
taste sour and bitter at first, but get sweeter
after chewing and drinking water.

Procedure To make Amla Juice
- Rinse gooseberries (amla); cut into wedges and discard the seeds.
- slice the berries fine or grate them using a grater.
- Place in a blender, add water and blend to a smooth infusion.
- It looks like a colloid; small particles floating in the translucent liquid.
- Add salt, honey, cardamom and any sweetener; blend again.
- Strain Amla juice into a glass jug using a colander.
- Add ice and store in the refrigerator.
- Keeps fresh for up to 2 days
